Laurie A. Larson
CPA, CGA, CBV
Laurie began working in the accounting field in 1992. Prior to entering public practice, she gained experience working in the corporate accounting department of a large national food chain. Laurie obtained her Certified General Accountant designation in 1996 while working in public practice.
In 2005, she founded L.A. Larson & Associates Ltd. and enjoys the personalized attention that she is able to give her clients.
Laurie began working in the area of business valuations, litigation support and advisory services of a large firm in 2003. She obtained her Chartered Business Valuator designation in 2005.
Shauna L. Wust
BBA, CPA, CA
I was born and raised in Abbotsford, BC and continue to make it my family’s home. I credit my youth sports coach — who was a Chartered Accountant, thank you, Dunc! — for introducing me to the wonderful world of accounting in 1996 and I promptly changed my post-secondary course of study from human resources to accounting.
I obtained my Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2003 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2006. I have extensive public practice experience with both small local firms and larger national ones. After obtaining my professional designation, I left public practice to work in various industry sectors including mining, real estate and education. However, I most enjoy working with owner-managed small businesses in a wide range of industries and I joined LA Larson & Associates in 2010.
In my free time, I enjoy live music performances, reading biographies and true crime, staying active, taking Rosie for walks and floatation therapy. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exploring both local points of interest and other travel destinations. A trip to Iceland is on my bucket list!
Aman K. Kalair
BBA
I obtained my Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of the Fraser Valley. Currently I am in the CPA program and working towards my designation. I was born and raised in Mission, BC therefore the Valley is where I belong. I have extensive customer service experience from restaurant to the retail industry. Having explored the service industry and public practice with many different opportunities during my studies, I have found public practice to be my place. I joined L.A. Larson & Associates as it is a small firm with big opportunities and always room to learn more. In my free time I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family. Traveling to different destinations is on my bucket list as my next venture in life.
Rosie Petals
Special Advisor
My name is Rosie Petals and I love my job! I was born in Richmond, BC in 2014 and relocated to Abbotsford, BC shortly afterwards. I love yogurt, cheese and chicken – however I’m allergic to poultry so please don’t give me any, no matter how much I beg! I also enjoy long walks around the lake and keeping physically fit.
I previously held the role of studio model and client greeter at Studio One Groomers in Tsawwassen, BC. I entered the wonderful world of accounting in late 2014. My role of Special Advisor with L.A. Larson & Associates Ltd. includes the following duties:
- Daily attendance at the office
- Play hide and seek with Auntie Laurie (my boss)
- Play toys with Auntie Laurie
- Sneak into garbage when possible
- Sneak coffee and any other food and drink items whenever possible
- Receive and hide treats all over the office for later consumption
- Take naps and potty walks as required
- Greet clients and sit on their lap to calm their nerves and relieve anxiety
- Love everyone
